How do I overcome my fear of snakes?
Written by admin on March 16, 2010 – 1:39 pm -I love reptiles (including snakes). I love any type of lizard. I own a gecko and 2 beardies.
I know snakes evolved from lizards…but there’s just something about them that makes me feel tense. Maybe it’s their eyes? Or head? Or slippery look to their body without legs? I know a fair amout about snakes. I wanna be a reptile vet…but I can’t if I’m scared of snakes. What do they feel like? Do they bite? When and why do they bite? Would you have to seek medical attention?
How can I overcome this fear?

Why do some people fear or hate all snakes regardless of them being non-venomous?
Written by admin on February 24, 2010 – 4:49 pm -Why do some people fear snakes of the non-venomous type even though most pose little or no threat to them? And why do some people go as far as killing all snakes? Especially since they keep the rodent population in check without polluting our Earth? And why do some people think they’re slimy and gross when they have never even touched them? Why all the hate for snakes? Is it because of the Bible, the way snakes are portrayed as evil in the Bible? Phobias? Or is it just no knowledge about snakes or ignorance? I think snakes are cool, I’ve held black rat snakes and boas before, not slimy, a snake’s skin feels like soft leather, somewhat. And the snakes I’ve held were docile and gentle, not wild(they were kept as pets by my high-school applied biology teacher) and therefore not nasty. I wish people were more open-minded about these creatures.

Python Strangles Woman at Everglades Alligator Farm – She Overcomes Her Fear of Snakes

Florida’s Everglades Alligator Farm features a demonstrator who places a large Python on a woman during the snake show. The snake is wrapped twice around her neck. The demonstrator tells us that the Python is a nonvenomous snake that kills by squeezing its prey. Great! At the end, the woman overcomes her fear of snakes forever!

How does one get over the fear of Snakes?
Written by admin on February 24, 2010 – 11:30 am -Every sence i can remember i have had this GREAT fear of snakes. But all my life my Father had snakes… And i think they are cool to look at, but when the snake is out i FREEK out and bad… i sometime pass out, or start crying…. from the frear. Im 22 years old, and LOVE all animals. And i would love to STOP fearing snakes. Any one have this fear, and how to get over it?
